Is Jesus A Caucasian -Who Captured His Image Without A Camera?
There is no Biblical character famous than the mysterious man called Jesus Christ. The stories of Jesus are available in the New Testament, yet many called it a fabricated story. Before Jesus was born, prophets, such as Isaiah and Micah, foretold the Birth of Jesus Christ, yet millions of people around the world, including Pagans believe that Jesus wasn’t even on earth.
Nevertheless, here are some of Jesus amazing miracles. The Gospel of describes a woman who had bleeding of 12 years. She turned to many doctors, but she only got worse. However, barely touching the garment of Jesus, but she immediately got healed. This story shows the compassion of Jesus and His power to heal.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus healed a man who was born blind. The healed man testified that the man called Jesus made clay, anointed my eyes, and said to me: Go to the pool of Siloam and wash. I went and washed, and received my sight.
Jesus fed 5,000 people with only 5 loaves of bread and two fish, revealing that he is the subsistence of life. He has the power to care for everyone’s needs. This miracle also shows that Jesus is the bread of life.
In the Gospel of Luke, speaks of how Jesus was sailing on the Sea of Galilee with his disciples. A storm arose, and the disciples were frightened for their lives. But Jesus, standing up, he rebuked the wind and the raging of the water ceased, and there was silence. This miracle reveals that Jesus has power over forces of nature.
Probably, the greatest miracle in the whole history of mankind is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. But we shouldn’t forget that before his death and resurrection, Jesus was able to raise others such as Lazarus from death.
Despite all these miracles many doubt Jesus even came on earth. I don’t doubt Jesus as a saviour or whether he came on this earth but for a very long time, I have been asking myself: During Jesus’ era, there was no camera to capture his image, therefore, how did Jesus appear to be a white man?
Over the centuries, Jesus has been depicted a Caucasian, a man with a beard and a long hair, and blue eyes, while the picture of the devil is black with a long tail and two horns protruding on the head.
However, all these fantasy pictures of Jesus came to an end amazingly, when an image of Jesus was created by Richard Neave, a former forensic artist from the University of Manchester, using forensic investigation methods and archaeological evidence.
In an article for Popular Mechanics, he showed a portrait of Jesus - a swarthy man with a large nose, dark eyes, short hair, and a thick beard. This appearance is characteristic of the Jews of northern Israel, as quoted by Ridus.
The forensic team also used the description of Christ to recreate his image. They created a computer model of his appearance, proving a similarity with the Galilean Semites of that era. The study used skulls from Jerusalem, where Jesus preached.
Scientists have "increased" the shape of the eyes, nose, lips, and muscles on the skull. Based on religious studies, the researchers concluded that Jesus did not wear long hair; he cut his hair short by analogy with other Jewish men.
Finally, the figure of the prophet was much more muscular than depicted. He had worked as a carpenter for up to 30 years, they stressed.
