2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Ghana draw South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia
Ghana will face South Africa, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe in their bid to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Black Stars was seeded as one of the top teams for the draw which took place in Cairo on Tuesday evening. Newly appointed Black Stars coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor and Ghana FA Vice President were present at the draw.
The team was drawn into Group G alongside Bafana Bafana, who are also in the same 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group with Black Stars. Ethiopia and Zimbabwe are the other countries which make the group complete.
A total of 10 groups was revealed on the night with group winners progressing to the third and final round, which will feature five two-legged play-off ties.
The five winners of these play-offs qualify for Qatar 2022.
